§ Manifesto / 001

We build the software. Then we keep it running.

A small studio out of Toronto. Started in 2019. Ten clients since. Most of them founders. Some of them people who inherited an older codebase and needed help.

§ Services / 002
II

Six services. Explained plainly.

What each one is, and how we actually do it.

  1. 01

    Platforms, end to end

Backend, database, cloud, deploys. The whole thing.

    § stack / how

Node, Postgres, WebSockets, AWS. Written so someone else can maintain it later.

  2. 02

    Web apps and interfaces

React and Next.js work. Design and engineering usually done by the same person.

    § stack / how

TypeScript, RSC. Motion only where it helps. Readable on a small laptop.

  3. 03

    Mobile apps

React Native and Expo. Shipped to the stores, then watched afterwards.

    § stack / how

Push, IAP, deep-linking, Solana. SolBTL is one of these.

  4. 04

    WordPress maintenance

For the sites already on WordPress. Someone has to keep them running.

    § stack / how

Custom themes, plugin updates, security patches, a real monthly report.

  5. 05

    Shopify and e-commerce

Speed fixes, theme changes, integrations that hold up on a busy day.

    § stack / how

Custom checkouts, third-party apps, performance work that shows up in revenue.

  6. 06

    Ads and analytics

Google Ads, plus the tracking behind them so the numbers mean something.

    § stack / how

Campaign work, GA4 setup, event pipes, dashboards a founder can read at a glance.

§ Practice / 003
III

A studio. Not an agency.

NJ Development is a small studio in Toronto. Founded in 2019. We build for founders and small teams, usually end-to-end: from the infrastructure through the product to the marketing wiring that tells you if any of it is working.

The work is engineering-first. Ship the product, put in the tracking, iterate on what the numbers say. Write the code well enough that whoever we hand it off to a year later can still make sense of it. That’s more or less the whole job.

§ Beliefs
  1. 01Software should still work a couple years after launch. Most doesn’t.
  2. 02Marketing without analytics is guessing. So we set up the analytics.
  3. 03A small team that can say no beats a bigger team that can’t.
  4. 04How the code reads matters as much as how the site looks.

§ For founders / A

You have an idea and
not much time.

Bring wireframes, a deck, or just notes. We turn it into a working v1 in six to eight weeks, wire in the tracking, and hand you a codebase your first engineering hire won’t hate.

§ For operators / B

You have a business
that already runs.

Shopify fixes, WordPress upkeep, Google Ads with a real monthly report, and analytics you can read without a manual.
